Prince Ogievie 1, a reknown Benin priest, has given kudos to the Benin Monarch, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare 11 N’Ogidigan and the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki for their sustained efforts to stem the hydraheaded issues of human trafficking, cultism, armed robbery and the likes that was hitherto pervading the society.
He particularly cited the recent curses the monarch placed on the harbingers of evil which he sees as a final nail on the coffins of those who delight in evil deeds.
He affirmed that the steps taken so far by the royal father and Governor Obaseki are just what is required to ensure that the Edo State and indeed Nigeria is freed from the clutches of evil forces who wish for nothing good for the citizenry.
Going further, he admonished parents and guardians to instil the right morals in their children and wards so as not to put clog in the wheels of progress.
“Let us continue to teach our young ones morals and the dangers inherent in illegal migration and prostitution.
“Poverty is not enough reason for engaging in such social vices and evil against humanity.
“We must end it together and we must retrace our steps by going back to our root as farmers and indusrious people with cultural values, ” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Prince Ogievie has called on parents to always encourage their children to participate in sporting activities which is key to healthy living.
He stated this recently on the occasion of the second edition of the inter house sports meet of the Hallmark Education Centre, Benin.
Purple House, sponsored by Prince Ogievie 1, came out overall best in the competition and were handed the golden trophy donated by him for their good showing in the events.
