Comic actor, Victor Osuagwu has floated a comedy club that now boasts of 7,000 membership strength and still counting.
The humour merchant said the club he formed with his partner is growing in leaps and bounds.
He said: “I have already started shooting in Port Harcourt with my partner. He was the AGN (Actors Guild of Nigeria) chairman, Port Harcourt, as I was leaving office, so was he. We decided to form and register an organisation called Nollywood Comedy Club. Currently we have up to 6, 800 people on board and counting. As I’m talking to you and you are reading it from wherever, the forms are free to become a member.
“You don’t have to be a comedian to be a member. That does not mean that AGN does not exist. One of the criteria is to be a member of AGN before you become our member. We have representatives in all the states of the federation.
“We have also registered another organisation with some people we called Nollywood Health and Entertainment Limited. Under this platform, we will be treating all health related issues. We will be doing seminars, lectures, summit and even awards on health. Our way of life affects our health.”
