Ukpai Insists Pastors’ Children Must Be Part of Ministry

Paul Obiajunwo, Port Harcourt

Pastor Chidi Uma Ukpai, the first son of the world preacher and President, Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai has said the best thing he could do for God and His servants on earth is to ensures that  pastors children lives according to the footsteps of their parents.

He said it amazed him that some of the great pastors in Nigeria hired outsider to succeed them instead of their children because the lives styles of their children are not worthy of their ministries.

Pastor Ukpai who is the President of Clegies’ House International, a non-denominational fellowship for children of men of God said it has become necessary to speak sense to the men of God’s children in this generation to take charge of their responsibilities.

Ukpai stated this  when he paid a curtsey Visit to the General Overseer of Abundant Life Evangelical Mission, Apostle Eugene Ogu in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.

He noted that heaven will not be happy with the children of pastors if they allowed the devil to take away their attention from the work of God which their family started, adding that pastors must always pray for their children to succeed them.

He said he is not canvassing for pastor children to own their fathers ministry but to lives holy life as men of God children instead of living a wayward lives that would tarnish the image of their family and destroy the temple of their household.

His Word: “I want to ask how many man of God do you hear about their children and how many of their children are you prepared to take over from their father. What we continue seeing is a situation where outsider is being appointed to take over the ministry.

“It takes discipline to be a Christian but we must follow the train of our family as born Again children. We are the bible some people read; our attitudes sometimes define our families. If I live a wayward life today some person may not be going to my father because of my life style. “
