Learning and teaching materials  distributed by Dr. Odey  to the schools include, HP Computers, Internet facilities, Braille Books, Text books, Physiotherapy Mattresses and Pillows, Perking Braille Machines, Wheel Chairs, Mobility canes, Hearing Aids, Tape Recorders, Artificial Limbs, Stethoscopes and  Ear Moulds,

”The Special Education Centre in Ogoja was left moribund before the coming of this administration, but the government has decided to assist the vulnerable people in the area to acquire basic education”. Dr. Odey said

The board chairman also charged parents and guardians of physically challenged children to utilize this opportunity and send their children/wards to any of the Special Education Centres in Calabar, Ikom or Ogoja, as these centres are equipped to provide functional basic education to them, rather than keeping them at home because of their conditions.
