The Rivers State chapter of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) on Thursday commiserated with the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the death of his mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji.

The party, which observed a minute’s silence while praying for the soul of Mogaji urged Tinubu to be consoled in the fact that his mother deserved celebration rather than mourning.

The Acting Chairman of the party, Hon. Esuku Mbikankot Esuku, who led the prayer at the party secretariat in Port Harcourt described Mogaji as a progressive woman leader and one of the greatest commercial and political minds of our time.

Esuku said, “Though our National leader will miss her but she deserves celebration for her immense contribution to Nigerian woman and the nation as a whole. Of course, Mama was one of the best who will never be forgotten.”

“It is always good to live a good life. Mama Mogaji lived a momentous and memorable life that is worthy of emulation, why we are consoling those she left behind we pray that God should grant her internal rest,” he added.

Esuku also used the opportunity to call on ACN members in the state to work together as one big family in the interest of the party.
