Charity Wobo, a 36-year-old house wife who allegedly ended the life of her husband abruptly by stabbing him to death after poisoning his food has been arrested by police.

The late husband Kingsley Wobo, a contractor with Agip Oil Company was killed after he informed his wife of his intention to marry another wife.

Charity Wobo  had fled after committing the dastardly act.

But a reliable source from the deceased family and State Criminal Investigative Department said the police arrested her and handed her over to the SCID who is currently investigating the cause of the heinous crime and what transpired on the night the deceased was killed.

The source also disclosed that the suspect has made confessional statement on how the husband was stabbed to death by her brothers, a decision she claimed was influenced by the devil.

Three weeks ago, ThePost report that the suspect Mrs. Wobo poisoned her husband and with the assistance of her brothers stabbed him to death in Mboshimini community, Obio/Akpor Local Government of Rivers State.

When ThePost visited the elder brother of the deceased who simply identified himself as Mr. Wobo, he said one of the suspects who stabbed his brother to death has been arrested by the police with the deceased three mobile phones found on him.

He explained that the phones found on the suspect gave him away when he visited the police station to see his sister the deceased’s wife. The daughter of the deceased who had noticed his face the night the father was killed ordered the police to arrest him and the late father’s phones were found on him.

Mr. Wobo said he was confident that the police would do justice over the killing of his late brother whom he said was a complete gentleman.

“You need to see the shame the day she was brought to the family by the police, market women attempted to descend on the police van to attack her, they actually cast stones at her. As far as the women of Mboshimini are concerned, they will not forgive her for the evil deed”, Wobo added.
