Police confirm 24 killed in Kaduna bloody attack

 

Men suspected to be armed bandits killed 24 persons in an attack in Dogo Dawa community in Kaduna on Sunday.

Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Mr Olufemi Adenaike confirmed that some of those killed on their from early morning prayers. Others were attacked in their homes.

“At about 05:30am,a suspected gang of armed bandits, numbering about ten stormed Dogon Dawa village killing twenty four persons,” he said.

Mr Adenaike said four suspected gunmen were arrested by vigilante group in the area.

“some members of vigilante group from Dogon Dawa village went to Kuyello village arrested four persons suspected to be members of a notorious gang terrorizing their areas and took them down to Dogon Dawa village for questioning”

Mr Adenaike said the police are on the trail of the killers.

“The command swung into action by mobilizing a unit of PMF personnel and conventional operatives to the scene, where all the exists were properly manned by the police and army as hunt of the perpetrators is on top gear.”

Meanwhile investigation has commenced and security presence maintained”
