Police Arrest 5 Suspected Armed Robbers in Kogi

Bayo Oyewale, Lokoja Kogi State Command has arrested five armed robbery suspects, following a tip off from the victim whose house was robbed at gun point at Lokogoma Phase ll in Lokoja. The Kogi state Commissioner of Police, CP Ali A.Janga who disclosed this while parading the suspects at the Command headquarters in Lokoja, stated the police will not rest on its oars until the criminal elements are rooted out of the State. The Police Commissioner who was represented by the State Public Relation Officer,  ASP William Aya stated that at about 2.00 am on 28th Dec,2017,one Chris Edime of Naval quarters Area, Lokogo.ma Phase ll, Lokoja And reported that unknown gunmen invaded his house and dispossesed him of his Infinity Car G35S Salon with registration No GWA 672JS , ATM Card and other household items. Janga explained that when the news flittered out, the Department of State Service synergised with operatives of the police Command in bid to track down the perpetrators. In the process the following suspects  were arrested Mohammed Kbiru, Musa Mohammed, Emmanuel  Audu , Jale Yunusa And Lagos based Mohammed Ibrahim. The Commissioners of Police stated that the suspects will soon be charged to court.  Speaking with Journalists, the ring leader, Musa Mohammed confirmed that he and members of his gang invaded the victim house on 28th December 2017 and dispossessed him of his valuables. However, Mohammed Ibrahim denied being part of the suspected armed robbers, noted he was in the Church doing the dedication of his child with family in Lagos. Ibrahim pointed out that he only received calls from his cousin,Musa Mohammed that he was coming with a friend in his car and that they have no money to buy fuel for the car. Ibrahim who was arrested with the Infinty Car,claimed ignorant of the fact that the car was stolen from Pomona, the Kogi State capital. Items recovered from the suspects are LG plasma Tv, Home theatre electronic,a bag of rice, one single Barrel gun, twelve assorted hand sets and various criminal charms
