Residents of Rumuolumeni Community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State yesterday discovered the remains of an unidentified man in a bush in the area without his penis.
The corpse was allegedly discovered in a bush close to the campus of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) Iwofi, near Eagle cement Port Harcourt.
A security source who pleaded anonymity said that the body looks as if he was clubbed to death by unidentified persons.
The source who also followed the corpse to the Divisional Police Station at Rumuolumeni said that it was discovered that the man’s penis was missing after examining his corps.
The source alleged that the lifeless body looked like that of a Fulani herdsman, adding the body was found this morning in a bush around Eagle cement axis.
He noted that the deceased body of the Fulani man has been taken to the Rumuolumeni divisional police headquarters.
Meanwhile, some Fulani men and women were sighted at the police station after the corpse was brought to the station.
The source said, “A corpse was found this morning in a bush around Eagle Cement Company. The body looks like a Fulani man. Policemen from Rumuolumeni Police Station have taken the body.”
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, said he is not aware of the development but said he would immediately reach the District Police Officer in Rumuolumeni.
