Oyo APC Says Buhari’s Recovery, New Look Hope Portend Hope For Nigeria

Chris Steven, Abuja
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has stated that the recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari from his recent sickness and his return to the country, on Saturday, after he had spent over three months in London, the United Kingdom indicated that there was hope for the survival and greatness of Nigeria despite the numerous challenges confronting her.

The party in a statement issued in Ibadan by Olawale Sadare, its Public Relations Officer, described the full recovery and certification of the president’s fitness by his doctors as a thing of joy for the people of Nigeria and the global community “since the development has indicated a renewed hope for all Patriots and lovers of humanity.

“There is no gain saying the fact that President Muhammadu Buhari represents the symbol of national rebirth and a new Nigeria in view of the fact that he has never hid his passion for the world’s most populous black country to reclaim her pride of place in the comity of nations.

“In President Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria has a leader who is genuinely ready to make personal sacrifices and devote all he has to the task rebuilding a beleaguered nation. The challenges range from from tackling corruption, recovery of loot, fixing the economy, reclaiming the country from known and unknown Hawks, waging war against socio-economic and political saboteurs as well as terrorists among others.

“As the President faces these challenges headlong, the issue of health challenges set in and the common enemies of Nigeria almost had the last laugh but divine intervention. Nigeria is, no doubt, God’s own project and the manifestation of this is the person of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, and some other patriots who stand by Mr. President till today.

“With significant success recorded in the fight against insurgency (boko haram), anti-graft crusade, economic recovery, food sufficiency, economic diversification, Niger-Delta crisis, rail transport, aviation sector stability, diplomatic relations among others, Nigerians have seen the difference in the two years of the APC administration compared to the 16 years of bad governance under the PDP.

“More importantly, the surest way to sustain the gains of the last two years and even break new grounds is for Nigerians to pray more for the wellness of Mr. President as well as cooperate with the current administration of Buhari/Osinbajo which has been tested and found capable of fixing Nigeria and make the country rank among the best in the global community.” APC said.
