As Kogi APC endorses President Buhari, Bello for second term

The era of Nigeria depending on crude oil has gone for ever as agriculture has taken the rightful position in contemporary economy.
The National Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC),Chief John Odigie Oyegun who disclosed this while speaking in Lokoja at a mega rally where he received over 5,000 Chieftains and supporters of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who defected to the ruling APC at Confluence Stadium, said that APC administration is poised to move Nigeria forward.
He stated that Nigeria will be greater under President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
Oyegun explained that a lot has been said about the great party in the recent times,stressing that Nigerians should not listen to what they are saying.
“Today we do not depend on crude oil again. We are now depending on Agriculture. We are almost self sufficient in Rice production”, he stated.
The National Chairman of APC pointed out that this is the beginning of new things to happen in the country, stressing that the present administration will deliver on the electoral promises.
Earlier, All Progress Congress, Kogi State Chapter has endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for second term in office in 2019.
The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Mathew Kolawole moved a motion asking the President to contest in 2019.
The motion which was seconded by the Majority Leader of Kogi State, Honourable Abdullahi Bello asking the President Buhari to contest in 2019.
In a similar vein, the State Governor,Alhaji Yahaya Hello was endorsed for second term as the speaker and majority leader repeated the same motion and seconded the same.
While receiving over 5000 defectors,Chief Oyegun assured them of that they will not regret joining APC, adding that APCwill be fair to them all.
He also told the crowd who filled the 25,000 capacity stadium that anytime Mr. president says he want second term, Kogi State will be among the first sponsor.
Oyegun described Governor Bello as great supporter of Mr.President, describing him as organiser per excellent.
