A Nigeria Air Force Helicopter has crashed in Bama, Borno State.
A statement issued by the Director of Defense Information Major General said the helicopter was on a training mission and the crash was due to a technical fault.
The statement also added that the crash was not the action of any enemy but purely accidental.
The two paragraphs statement reads: “ A Nigerian Air Force Mi-35 Helicopter on a training mission this afternoon, crashed due to technical fault at a location South of Bama. Investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances that led to the accident. Meanwhile, it is established that the crash is not as a result of any enemy action. Further details on the crash will be made known as soon as the investigation is progresses.
“You are please requested to disseminate this information through your mass medium for the awareness of the general public. Thank you for your usual cooperation”.
