She is one among three beautiful sisters who are actresses in Nollywood. She is the most featured of them and she is the latest sensation in Igbo movies.
Though many know pretty Lillian Okoli as an English speaking actress, not many also know that she is Igbo and can equally speak her mother tongue fluently, a fact that has endeared her to various directors jostling to feature her in their Igbo movies, a move that is beginning to pay off.
Apart from the fact that she is very busy with different productions, Okoli popular on Instagram as Kimknolly wood25 is excited at the moment, because one of her Igbo flicks, ‘Obi Nwanyi’ has been nominated for the prestigious AMCA award slated for March 4, 2017.
In addition, the Season 2 of another Igbo movie, ‘Ije Ego’ which she featured in and won an award in Germany last year has been shot and would be aired on DSTV in April. She played lead roles in both films.
On what ‘Obi Nwanyi’ is all about, she said: “I played the role of a lady in love….A rich man based in the U.S. wanted to marry me, but I refused and stuck with my struggling boyfriend because I loved him. I supported him financially but he ended up with an older woman.”
Okoli has featured in many movies among which are ‘Ihe Onye Matara,’ ‘Sex Education,’ ‘Mr. Ibu the Class Master,’ ‘He-Goat,’ ‘Mumu in Love’ and ‘Hopeless Sacrifice.’
