Even after the conclusion of the official programme for his first year in office, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike continued to churn out new projects to the delight the people of the state and other observant development enthusiasts.
All through the celebration of the governor’s first year performance, prominent Nigerians from all walks of life were consistent in their testimonies of appreciation.
On 10th June, 2016 and 11th June, 2016, the Nyesom Ezenwo Wike administration again churned out key road projects in suburbs that were hitherto not motorable. These two roads were commissioned by the Caretaker Committee Committee Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ahmed Makarfi and Former Senate President, Senator David Mark.
While Senator Ahmed Makarfi commissioned the Eze Dr Frank Eke Road (Former Woji Town Road) in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area on 10th June, 2016, Senator David Mark commissioned the 8.1-kilometre Ozuoba-Ogbogoro-Rumuolumeni road on 11th June, 2016.
Both leaders objectively assessed Governor Wike in line with the current reality across the country, concluding that he has lived up to the expectations of the people by judiciously applying state resources and improving the living condition of the people.
Senator Ahmed Makarfi declared that Governor Wike has proved to be an outstanding governor who churns out projects, pays salaries and pensions, when other states are failing.
The National Caretaker Committee Chairman of the PDP said that if elections are conducted 1million times in the state, Governor Wike will emerge victorious because of his pro-people leadership.
Former Senate President, Senator David Mark commended Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for being an agent of genuine development for the people of the state.

This objective analysis of Governor Wike’s superlative first year in office is not limited to Senators Mark and Makarfi, Deputy Senate President while commissioning the Rumuepirikom-Rumuolumeni road described Governor Wike as an achiever who has continued to work for his people despite the negative propaganda being sponsored by opponents.
International musicians and comedians who have been privileged to stay in Rivers State at one time in their lives are also singing the praises of the governor for transforming the infrastructure of Rivers State.
At the 12th Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAA, in Port Harcourt on 11th June, 2016, Popular Musician , Harry Song and Ace Comedian, Arinze Baba, both former residents of Diobu suburb in the Garden City joined other Nigerians to celebrate the reconstruction of the neglected roads of Diobu.

The Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Honourable Kenneth Kobani, the Commissioner for Finance, Dr Fred Kpakol and Honourable Dum Dekor are happy that the governor fulfilled his promise to dualise the Sakpwenwa-Bori road.
As the projects are delivered , so do the Testimonies of Appreciation roll in. Both the prominent leaders and the less privileged are united in their praise of the efforts of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike as Nigeria’s best performing governor under the dispensation.
Governor Wike has already started his second year in office on a high note. He has continued his regular inspection of projects. Rivers people are assured of the best going forward.
