…says Ondo people have changed their minds against PDP
Chris Steven, Abuja
Ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo state, the Special Assistant to Governor Olusegun Mimiko on Mobilisation, Honourable Jossy Eginosi Ehinmore has resigned his appointment.
This was contained in a letter of resignation obtained by The Post.
This has added to the misfortune of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which has been steeped in controversies over its of Jimoh Ibrahim as his candidate in the governorship election against the wish of the people of the state.
In the letter of resignation addressed to the Governor by Honourable Ehinmore on Tuesday, the former aide of the Governor cited the unilateral decision of Governor Mimiko in selecting Ibrahim as causing citizens in the state to change their minds towards the party.
The letter heads in part: ” I write to inform your Excellency that I am unable to continue the performance of the duty of my office as your special assistant Mobilisation.
Sir, upon my painstaking survey of the 18 local government area of Info state, it is clearly showed that the people have changed their minds against the administration and your party due to unilateral and heart closed decision taking.
Moreso, your choice of Ondo Central Senatorial District whose turn you are serving eight years of two terms to produce the next Governor of Ondo state is against the existing rotational arrangement known to the people of the state. To this end, I hereby resign my appointment as your Special Assistant.”
