The war against terrorism in the North East has recorded a major breakthrough as officials of Nigerian military intelligence have arrested a suspected killer of Major General Mohammed Shuwa (Rtd).
Mohammed Shuwa was murdered in his residence in Maiduguri, Borno State by suspected Boko Haram members on November 2, 2012.
The retired military officer was the first General Officer Commanding of the Nigerian Army’s 1st Division.
He also commanded the Nigerian Army’s 1st Division during the Nigerian Civil War.
The Army spokesperson, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman confirmed that the suspect will be paraded in Kano where he was arrested.
