Kogi APC conducts parallel ward congress

The All Progress Congress in Kogi state has conducted parallel ward Congresses in the 329 wards across the and
21 local government area yesterday.

This followed the unresolved internal crises that have rocked the existence of the party in the state in past 38 months of the present administration the state.

Though the conduct of the ward congress in the state was very peaceful, there were pockets of complaints that materials have not arrived
some polling units.

Sources told the Western Post that the two factional executives got materials from the National Headquarters in Abuja to conduct the congress.

When contacted the state Secretary of All Progress Congress APC, Barrister Tom Adejoh stated that Audu/Faleke group is conducting it Congress in the 329 wards today.

He explained that the group got the materials from Abuja to do the needful today.

While the State government had yesterday appeal to party loyalists to ensure peaceful conduct of ward congress in the state.

In the same vein, the group loyal to governor Yahaya Bello also got election materials from Abuja for today ward congress

With this development, there is a likelihood of getting two parallel results.

The governor was said to have warned against the imposition of candidates in any ward.

He also advised the party members to go for consensus, stressing that in a situation where this not possible they should go for election.

In some polling, units visited the party faithful are still waiting patiently waiting for the arrival of materials.

A party chieftain who preferred anonymity said they have been at the polling unit since, noting that they must have compiled the names elsewhere.
