A group, the Nigerian Democratic Awareness Forum (NIDAF) on Wednesday said the only way Federal Government could acharges s to Nigerian for the annulment of  1993 Presidential election widely acclaim to be won by Moshood Abiola  is to   ensure that all votes count in the future election.

The National President of the group, Prince Obiajunwo Dike, stated this in Port Harcourt during emergency meeting organized by the group.

He noted that  it would be very difficult to conduct free and fair election in Nigeria until the Federal Government appreciate and accept that Moshood Abiola won the freest and fair election in Nigeria.

NIDAF President said: “My group is partnering with other stakeholders to ensure that Nigerians vote count. And if we are to have free and fair election in future, then our leaders under the Federal Government should start to appreciate the 1993 presidential election.

“There should be live broadcast by the President of Nigeria apologizing mistakes made by the desperate past leaders of the country.

“We are also calling on Nigerian Government to investigate the role of the past leaders who aided the annulment of 1993 Presidential election; most of them are still alive, they should be bold enough to give of tangible reasons.
