Imo speaker promises better legislation in 2013

The Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Chukwuemeka Uwajumogu has enjoined Imo citizens both at home and in diaspora to renew their faith, love, support and commitment to the present administration in the state and work towards building the Imo of their collective dream.

Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu made the statement yesterday while addressing Imo citizens who visited his office.

The speaker said 2013 will be a year of total transformation as more proactive legislative responsibilities to people of the state will be ensured.  He said there will more commitment on the part of government to continue to put smile on the faces of the people.

Speaker Uwajumogu urged all political leaders and followers in the state to continue to have faith in the present administration, adding that despite the challenges facing the young leadership in the state, genuine progress, development, peace, unity of purpose has been recorded in almost all the sectors of the economy of the state.

He added that:  “Imo State House of Assembly will continue to partner with the executive arm in order to consolidate on the developmental strides going on in the state”.
