Ibinabo’s Miss Earth Singles Out Commissioner Oniru For Special Recognition


This year’s edition of the pageant that promotes environmental issues – Miss Earth Nigeria – is done with.

It was held at Oriental Hotels, Lagos on September 22 2013.

With video vixen and model, Marie Miller, also known as Miss Olive emerging the winner, the runner-ups are Miss Sage (2nd), Miss Lavender (3rd) and Miss Juniper (4th).

The event had in attendance personalities such as Onari Duke, Hollywood actor, Boris Kodjoe; Ini Edo Ehiagwina; Hollywood celebrity and model, Amber Rose; Karlie Reed; Kelechi Amadi Obi; D’Banj; Timi Dakolo; Funny Bone; Julius Agwu, AY and Gbenga Adeyinka 1st GCON.

Others who graced the occasion were Fidelis Duker, Zik Zulu Okafor, Ejike Asiegbu, Emma Ogugua, Chico Ejiro, Lancelot Imasuen and Andy Amenechi.

Our sources said Aremo Segun Oniru, the Lagos state Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure, was singled for special recognition.

He was rewarded for ‘his achievement with the waterfront innovations as well his giant strides in keeping safe the Lagos waterfront and ocean friendly and safe for Lagosians.’

Ibinabo Fibresima, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) is the chief promoter of Miss Earth Nigeria.

This year’s edition was the 12th.
