A group, under the aegis of Eye of Niger Delta (END) has commiserated with the families and people of Bayelsa State over the sudden demise of former governor DSP Alameiseigha.
The group through its national leader Comarade Tari Victor Ben described the death as an unfortunate incident and a loss that can never be recovered in the region.
Comrade Victor Ben made this statement yesterday in Port Harcourt while consoling the family over their loss and also commended the ex- governor for the vital role he played in the Niger Delta region.
He described him as a father and a true leader who played a very crucial role in the liberation and emancipation of the Niger Delta people from mental and economic slavery which the Nigerian system subjected them to.
He said “This sudden death may be associated with pressure on the current extradition plan by the present administration and the British Government in the Buhari’s war against corruption.”
He advised the President to be unbiased in his fight against corruption and assured him of the support of his group.
“Corruption has eaten deep into the Nigerian system to a wreck but this should be carried out not with bias nor religious, political and ethnic sentiments else he will end up in destroying the unity of our great nation Nigeria,” he said.
