Group Commends INEC For Conducting Free Polls In Rivers

A group in Rivers State has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a free, fair and credible election in the country and the state.

The group under the aegis of, ‘I See You Group,’ on Wednesday made this commendation to the INEC in their victory march in Port Harcourt on the success and emergence of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate and the Governor-elect of the state, Barr. Nyesom Wike.

The group lauded the INEC for keeping to their promise of a transparent and credible election for the people of Nigeria.

Speaking at the rally, the leader of the group, Mr. Chizi Nyeomasila, applauded the INEC and the security agencies for ensuring credible and violent free polls in the state.

Nyeomasila said that the people of the state came out en masse to cast their votes because there was adequate security at the polling units.

He also said that the people of the state expressed power through their votes thereby warned all the candidates elect to ensure transparency and hard work in office else the people’s mandate will be retrieved.
