From Paul Obiajunwo, Port Harcourt
The Management of Indorama Eleme Petrochemical Company operating in Rivers State have assured Nigeria of its effort to help revolutionize the economy with the completion of the construction of the biggest fertilizer plant in Africa.
Mr. Manish Mundra, the Managing Director of the company said in Port Harcourt on Friday while conferring an honorary award on the Commissioner for Sports, Hon Fred Igwe, for selfless and dedicated service that Indorama will build more companies rather than buy existing ones to boost the Nigeria economy.
“Of course, establishing new companies will revolutionize not just Rivers State but also the country,” he said.
“We already started the construction of one of the largest fertilizer plant in Africa and when completed will assist the economy since the economic growth of the nation is only four per cent of the expected growth,” he added.
He, however, advised politicians especially those who are serving their people in one constituency or the other to emulate the Rivers State Commissioner for Sports, Hon Fred Igwe for his dedicated service.
