Elder O Begins Campaign Against Depression
Concerned about the increasing rate of suicide in the country, David Ogechukwu aka Elder O recently made good his promise to begin a campaign against depression.
He is going about the task by telling his own story to discourage people with suicide tendencies.
He nonetheless had harsh words Allwell Orji, the medical doctor who ended his life in the Lagos Lagoon two Sundays ago, describing it as a cowardly way to die.
At Ojez entertainment centre where he holds forth, he told the bewildered audience who were having a swell time laughing to his bag of rib-cracking jokes how he suffered to get where he is today.
He recalled a particularly incident when he trekked from Orile to Surulere, both in Lagos, for a programme and how he sold his two cars to bury his late father,  lost his wife a year after marriage, among other setbacks which could make one contemplate ending it all, but that he refused to quit.
