“As Nigeria’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Senator Dosunmu promoted and projected Nigeria to the outside world in a very positive light. And as a Minister of the Federal Republic, he was exemplary,” the Senate President said..
Senator Mark recalled that Dosunmu was in the forefront of the struggle for the return of democracy in Nigeria in 1999 and worked assiduously for its consolidation.
During his stint in the Senate, the Senate President recalled that Dosunmu exhibited good conduct as a statesman, “offering useful advice and intervention during the teething period of this democracy in 1999.
“I can submit without fear of contradiction that Senator Dosunmu lived an eventful and accomplished life worthy of emulation”.
He therefore implored the government and people of Lagos State especially the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that Senator Dosunmu left a positive legacy on the sand of time.
