Contrary to reports in the media, President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, denied ordering the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to investigate the shooting of the Big Brother Nigeria reality show in South Africa instead of somewhere in the country.
Buhari who is in the United Kingdom for medical treatment, who tweeted using his personal handle, wrote: “I did not order this investigation. Where a private organization decides to shoot a private show is not the government’s business.”
He however assured that the administration “would work on strengthening our entertainment industry so that shows like #BBNaija would be shot here, not in South Africa.”
In that way, he believes the government woul earn more in the form of internally generated revenue.
