Just like it happened with the presidential election that returned incumbent Barack Obama to office in the United States of America, where superstars Jay Z (Shawn Carter) and Kanye West threw their weights behind candidates, it is about to happen in Nigeria.
Sources confirmed, reigning entertainers Dbanj (Dapo Oyebanjo) and Tuface (Innocent Idibia) are exploring the possibility of throwing weights behind candidates of choice in the upcoming 2015 general elections (with focus on Governorship and Presidential Elections).
Investigations revealed the two entertainment heavy weights want to work together.
And the individual serving as the catalyst of this concept is identified as celebrity club owner, Mr. Frank Okamigbo.
The Papas Entertainment boss is said to have held talks with the rated entertainers separately and together, and they have shown interest.
Sources confirmed positive responses from the musicians have transformed into attempting to co-opt others to set up ‘a team’ that would clinically examine the upcoming electoral process, and the possible candidates to determine way forward.
Informed sources told us, ‘the concept is at the stage of searching for a credible panel, like minds’.
A source in the known insist ‘with the kind of zeal Okamigbo is putting into the project, there are strong indication it would fly’.
