You Can’t Fight Me …Ajimobi Tells Olubadan
Few hours after some Obas in Ibadan land started the process to depose the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, the Governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has explained that the monarch as a father, cannot be angry with him.
Ajimobi, made the statement at the annual Chief of Army Staff conference, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, on Monday.
According to Ajimobi, the First Class monarch is a father and he (Ajimobi) is his son and because of the relationship, the two of them cannot fight each other.
The Governor who was a special guest of honour at the occasion, extolled the virtues of the Oba and spoke glowingly about the royal father, to the admiration of those present at the occasion.
His words; “Kaabiyesi, you are my father, you cannot be angry with me at all.
“No no matter what anybody says, or whatever happens between us”.
 Few hours before,some Ibadan Obas, who are perceived to have the backing of the state government, led by Oba Lekan Balogun, the Otun Olubadan, the traditional ruler’s second-in-command, as issued a 21-days ultimatum to address some allegations against or risk deposition.
“The Olubadan has refused to address certain issues with have tabled before him.
“We are hereby giving  him a 21-day notice to do the needful, or else, we shall shall initiate deposition proceedings against him”_. The statement read.
