Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari is expected back in Nigeria on Sunday and would resume work on Monday.

Professor Osinbajo made this known at the Presidential Villa shortly before the commencement of the National Economic Council (NEC).

President Buhari  who travelled to London on a 10-day medical vacation was scheduled to return to the country on Wednesday and resume work today,  Thursday

He had gone to London on June 6 to be examined by an Ear Nose and Throat specialist for ear infection.

But Professor Osinbajo  said the President, who according to him is in perfect health condition, will take the weekend off and resume on Monday.

“The president will be back on Sunday. I spoke with him yesterday evening and I think it is just the best that he takes the weekend off. He will certainly be back on Sunday.

“I think the most straightforward thing is when he will be back. He will be back on Sunday. There is no point rushing back on Friday or something like that.

“He will just take the weekend off and be back on Sunday.
