The Senate has again rejected rejected the request for confirmation of Ibrahim Magu by the Presidency as the substantive Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
This came shortly after Magu appeared before the Senate for the second time on Wednesday.
The Senate refusal in the first instance was based on a report submitted by the Department of Security Services, DSS to the Senate on questioning Magu’s suitability for the job.
Though when he appeared before the Senate on Wednesday, Magu said he was not given a fair hearing by the DSS.
This appeares to be the end of the road for him.
The latest Senate’s rejection followed another report from the DSS with damning verdict on the suitability of the nominee for the position.
