Army Reveals New Antics Of Boko Haram

With attacks on markets, motor parks and other public places in the nation’s North East zone no longer easy, the Nigerian Army, on Monday drew public attention to a new style by Boko Haram terrorists to attack and kill their unsuspecting victims.

A statement by Colonel Mustapha Anka, Deputy Director Army Public Relations in the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, recalled two recent incidences where suicide bombers who are members of the desperate sect visited the homes of two families and when the doors were opened, they detonated their vests, killing the victims.

According to Anka, “recently, two female suicide bombers knocked at the door of one Bulama and Usman about 200 meters apart in Kalari general area of Maiduguri.

“The daughter of the Bulama opened the door, while the Usman himself opened his own door immediately the suicide bombers detonated their suicide vest, in the process killing the unsuspected little girl, Usman including the two female suicide bombers.”

The statement urged the public to be weary of strange “persons knocking at their doors.

“Security is a collective responsibility; the public is to engage in neighborhood watch. Suspicious movement of persons should be reported to security agents without any delay,” he added.

The statement also reminded the public of that the curfew earlier imposed on the area “is still enforced by 10pm daily, (warning that) any defaulter will be prosecuted accordingly.”
