APC Candidate Wins Plateau Bye-election

The All Progressives Congress has won the Saturday bye-election in the Qua’an Pan North constituency of the Plateau State House of Assembly.
APC’s candidate, Dakup Dakogol polled 5409 votes to defeat his closest rival, Dambuwal Aloy, who got 4771 votes.
Announcing the results at the Legislators’ Chamber in Qua’an Pan Local Government Secretariat in the presence of the National Commissioner, Prof Anthonia Simbini, State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Godwin Kwanga, party officials and other stakeholders, the Returning Officer, Associate Prof. Akkarven Ashakah, said Dakogol defeated the PDP candidate, Dambuwal, with 638 votes.
Ashakah said, “Having scored the highest number of total votes cast in the Qua’an Pan North bye-election, Dakogol is hereby declared the winner and is hereby returned elected.”
