The Alliance for Democracy has fixed its state congresses and unity national convention in Abuja for November 10 and 24 to 26 respectively.
This was part of the resolutions of the party’s reconciliatory National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at Emirates Hotel and Suites, Abuja.
The NEC was presided by the party’s National Chairman, Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa.
Senator Akinfenwa commended leaders and members of the party for their loyalty, steadfastness and support since 1998 when it was registered as a political party.
He promised to hand over to a new national executive that would be elected at the convention following the expiration of his tenure.
The NEC however set aside the composition of the party’s Board of Trustees for the incoming national executive.
It also directed the six geo-political zones to nominate a representative that would serve in the party’s National Convention Planning Committee while Senator Akinfenwa would nominate the seventh person.
