Abducted IAUE Lecturer’s Son Regains Freedom

The son of Dr. Gods time Ogbeoleka, a senior lecturer with Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) Rivers State who was kidnapped last weekend has regained freedom.

Thirty year old Thomas Chinujinim Ogbeoleka, was unconditionally released to his family after the father insisted that he was not paying his abductors but rather pleaded wit them to kill him and drop his lifeless body for him to burry.

The victim was kidnapped last week Thursday  morning  in his father’s compound at Ihuapa community in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State by four unidentified gunmen.

A reliable source from the family said the father of the victim had verbally engaged the Kidnappers on phone when they demanded N15 million ransom.

He said: “My brother openly told the kidnappers that he was not going to pay any kobo to release his son from the kidnapper’s dam. When they continued putting a pressure on him, he directed them to do whatever they wished.

“He also pleaded with them to release the  body of his son to him if they chose to kill him so that he could burry, but vowed not to pay anything to the kidnappers. We thank God Thomas has been released to the family,” the source told The Post.
