24 Feared Killed In Rivers As Cultists Clash

 No fewer than 19 persons have  feared killed in a cult clash that erupted in Ulapata community, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

It was reported that Icelanders and Greenlanders cult groups had been locked in a battle for supremacy in the area.

 cultists had invaded Idoha community in the same LGA killed and beheaded five persons in the same family.

The activities that led to the hair rising killing that happened  yesterday had been on for over a long time now according to a community source.

It was learnt that after the last concluded elections that there had been high level of gun running in the area.

Saturday, it was gathered that the Greenlanders had invaded the community, killing about four person, who were later identified as member of the rival group.

Yesterday, the Icelanders in a reprisal laid siege to the community and allegedly killed the terrifying number of persons.

At press time, the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, Mr. Grace Koko told the post that the command was aware of it

Koko said the development was still sketchy, but disclosed that the incident was purely a cult related war.

“It is a cult related war. I an not sure of the number of deaths at the moment, but I will get back to you when it is fully confirmed”, Koko promised.

But the community source who gave his name simply as Mr. Nnamdi revealed that 19 persons were killed, adding that four people were killed on Saturday  while 15 persons were killed on Sunday.

Nnamdi disclosed that when cultists started terrorizing the area that the paramount ruler of the community constituted a vigilante group called Isakaba boys to curb the activities of the evil boys.

He stated that the leader of the Isakaba boys was among the persons shot dead by the rampaging cultists, Sunday.
