2016 Budget : Buhari Has Set Nigeria On The Right Path – Chekwas Okorie

Former presidential candidate in the 2015 General election and National Chairman of United Progressives Party (UPP) Chief Chekwas Okorie has praised President Muhammadu Buhari over the signing of 2016 budget signed last noting that the President has set the nation on the right path with the signing of the budget.
Chief Okorie who particularly commended the President for dedicating N200billion in the budget to provision of road infrastructure also expressed optimism that the budget would be implemented 100 percent despite its late commencement.
The federal government, according to him, insisted on the right thing being done before the budget was signed noting that the right thing was eventually done and the budget was signed.
He also said that the decision of the President Buhari to dedicate another N350billion in the budget to complete ongoing projects started by the last administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan is a new development in the Nigerian system that will move the nation forward.
His words: ” First of all, I’d like to express my confidence in President Buhari’s intention and resoluteness to deliver a budget that will activate growth.
I expect 100 percent implementation of the budget in spite of its late commencement. I’m also happy that the federal government that the federal government has learnt its lesson by deciding to present the 2017 budget in October. And I hope that the Senate also has learnt its own lesson too.
This is something new. Somehow, I see a very bright future I see an economy that will be reactivated and sky is the limit for entrepreneurs in this country who are going to reap from the enabling environment that is about to be created and I see many jobs being created”
