‎Breaking News: Osinbajo, Governors, Service Chiefs In Closed Door Meeting Over NDA’s Threat

Following threats by members of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) that ‎they would carry out deadly attacks on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Governors in the Niger Delta region and Service Chiefs are currently in a meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting is being held behind closed doors was called to brainstorm on the crisis, it started at about 10am at the VP’s wing inside the Presidential Villa.

Those in attendance at the meeting included,Rivers State Governor,Nyesom Wike,Edo State,Adams Oshiomhole,Delta,Ifeanyi Okowa,Ondo,Olusegun Mimiko,Bayelsa,Seriake Dickson,Abia,Okezie Ikpeazu and Akwa Ibom State,Emmanuel Udom.

Top security chiefs at the meeting were, Chief of Defence Staff,Gen Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin,Chief of Army Staff,Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai,Chief of Naval Staff,Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas and Chief of Air Staff,Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources,Ibe Kachikwu was also in attendance.

Our Correspondent gathered that the meeting was on how to avert the looming disaster from the Militants.
Details of the meeting are still sketchy as at the time of writing this report but feelers said federal government was considering dropping military action against the Militants.
